From Agility Champions to World Renowned Obedience Trainers: the pros who trust Antinol®

Kamal Fernandez

Kamal is a world-renowned dog trainer, coach, speaker, and author. He has over 33 years of experience in the world of dogs and dog training. He has dedicated his life to promoting the use of reinforcement-based methodology to train dogs from unruly pets to Crufts winners.

Kamal has competed at the highest level in dog sports and has represented multiple teams at the Crufts Championship and has also coached the Australian and New Zealand Crufts World Cup teams, the IGP World team members, and an FCI Agility team member.

As well as an accomplished trainer, Kamal is also the author of two acclaimed training books – ‘Pathway to Positivity’ and ‘Relabelling Reactivity’.

His television appearances include Sky TV’s ‘Dogs Might Fly’, where 12 rescue dogs were followed on their journey to ‘flying a plane’, and Channel 4’s ‘The Dog Academy’.

Among his many loves are a Belgian Malinois, a Border Collie, a German Spitz, a Boxer, and a rescue Jack Russel x Poodle named Sugarpuff.

“I am so pleased with Antinol in general. However, the biggest testament is in my 14-year-old Spitz, who was literally aging by the day. He spent the majority of the day sleeping and had little enthusiasm for anything. Since being on Antinol, he is literally like a 2-year-old! He is full of it! Thank you to Antinol for giving my little old guy a second lease of life!! So grateful!”

Katrina Hands and Blair Hands

International agility competitor, coach, and human sports therapist, Kat has competed successfully in many competitions from Crufts to FCI. She achieved a Bronze medal for the Overall Games Championship at the World Agility Open, has competed as part of Team GB and Team Scotland, and won the 2022 British Open.

Her son Blair has won Scottish Junior Handler and come third place in the YKC Agility Dog of the Year. He has competed as part of Team GB for YKC and achieved 2nd place in the Futurity Dog at CSJ Open in 2021.

Katrina currently competes with Minx, Sizzle, and Wild, and has two retired Collies at home, Jess and Rosie. Blair competes with Rapid and Sofi and is training puppy Blast to be the next big thing!

Katrina specializes in dog agility training but has also competed in flyball. Finavon Agility in Scotland is their training barn and also supports the canine sport of hoopers.

Kat is passionate about positive, fun, and safe methods used to teach dogs and handlers and keeping herself and her dogs fit physically and mentally for competitions.

Blair is now expanding his talents into agility judging and is training to become a canine hydrotherapist.

“If you are looking for a joint supplement, then I hugely recommend Antinol. I’ve tried quite a few supplements over the years and I can honestly say this is the one that I am really happy with.”

Dave Munnings

Agility Team GB member many times, Dave has consistently been at the top of the agility world for over 20 years, winning Gold, Silver, and Bronze, in individual and team events internationally and at home.

Care of the agility dog is paramount to Dave, and with a BSc Hons Degree in Human and Animal Osteopathy, Dave only offers exercises, training, and courses which are very carefully thought out and adapted to minimize any injuries when he coaches or judges.

Dave currently competes with Legacy (or Susan as she is affectionately known) but has also achieved greatness with Fame, Dobby, Boost, and Boss. Now training his new puppy 40, who already looks like she is going to have a promising career, Dave and his partner Dan have also bred their own litter of Champions.

Dave is passionate about ensuring the safety and welfare of dogs, whether they be competing or resting in their well-earned retirement. So motivated about the standard of his sport and wanting to ensure that dogs in agility are always in safe hands, he has co-founded an entire new agility organisation, Agility Nexus, which will launch in 2025 using highly safe equipment and dog-centric courses.

“We 100% recommend Antinol to everybody—and I have done. I recommend Antinol all the time! It is just so much better than anything we have used in the past.”

Dan Shaw

Apart from his own dogs, Dan is passionate about helping people achieve the best partnerships with their dogs in the ring and outside it. He started as a “pet dog” trainer and became known for his work with puppies and young dogs of all breeds working with their owners to create the perfect pet.

These days he is a full-time agility coach, and many of his students have gone on to achieve the highest accolades nationally and to represent the UK internationally. However, his passion will always remain at the start of the journey, with the puppies and young dogs. Because of this, he founded Agility Geek, a programme to support handlers and their puppies from their first day to build amazing foundations for a career in canine sports.

Dan has represented Team GB, winning Silver and Bronze medals for his country. He has won many a Champ ticket and has also won Crufts twice! He is currently competing with Nerd and Boffin but has previously competed with Geek, Ditto, and Cody to the highest level. Always a Border Collie owner, Dan has recently branched out to owning a Cocker Spaniel puppy, Dweeb, whose delight in the universe gets many an “aww” on social media.

“The results from Antinol were a bit of a shock with our two oldest dogs, Cody and Boss. Boss has been lazy since the day he was born—he’s a couch potato and just trots behind you on walks.

About three weeks into feeding them Antinol, they seemed active on walks, bright and happy. So I'd say it definitely exceeded our expectations for the oldies, for sure.”

Naarah Cuddy

“As soon as I saw you, I knew an adventure was about to happen” – this quote from Winnie the Pooh is how Naarah feels about one of her current competing dogs, Lemon. The youngest ever large dog to win a Champion certificate at 2 years and 4 months, at just 3 years old she was selected to represent Great Britain at the European Open Championships. Lemon has competed at the FCI World Championships and won a Bronze medal in a team event, and won a Silver in 2023 in the individuals.

Naarah’s passion for positive and reward-based training started at a young age and has seen Naarah and her dogs achieve success internationally and at home. Together, she and her partner Martin founded Into Shape Agility, an online coaching programme which has countless hours of footage detailing the training process, including the successes and the failures of competing, and how to bounce back from them.

Naarah has competed with Flair and Sassy and is also currently competing with Banana, who is apparently a bit “fizzy!” Naarah has just welcomed Raspberry into the competing clan, “to have her means the world.”

“We tried a few supplements until I found what I believe to be the ‘Formula One’ joint supplement, Antinol.”

Martin Reid

Another agility athlete who started young, Martin has been competing in agility since the age of 11. His old dog Flash won two championship tickets before he had to retire early due to injury. The dog after that was Spring, Martin’s first proper Border Collie, who sadly is no longer with us, but won 13 Championship tickets in his prime.

Martin now competes with Snooze, Shape, and Selfie, who is Martin’s first Sheltie and comes all the way from famous lines in Germany. In 2023, Selfie won the European title in the Small category and has also won Crufts twice!

Martin has just welcomed baby S’mores into his and his partner Naarah’s dog-filled house. S’mores is a very special pup as she is the great-granddaughter of Spring, so has some big paws to fill! Martin could see many of Spring’s traits in Maureen (as she is also known) and knew she was the puppy for him, “it is wonderful to have a little part of Spring back in our home.”

“We believe it’s important to support your dog long-term, whether you compete with your dogs or not. I don't know why you wouldn't try it?

I can't stop the older ones from running nowadays! When I take them out for a walk, it’s just chaos. They don’t stop the whole time, which keeps the younger dogs fit because they’re quite lazy on walks.”

Neil Ellis

Neil has been involved in agility since his teenage years, but when he wasn’t competing, Neil focused most of his time and attention on judging. Neil qualified as an agility judge back in 2008 at the age of 15, and 15 years on, has established himself as one of the leading judges on the planet.

Neil became more interested in the idea of running his own events, and in 2021, the first IconiX Agility competition was held.

Between 2021 and 2024, Neil has turned IconiX Agility into one of the most anticipated events on the UK agility calendar, with shows being held throughout the year, including the first ever ‘By-Night’ event to take place in the UK.

Neil wanted to bring his unique outlook on agility events and the way he felt they should be run to the wider agility community in the UK.

Neil, along with Dave Munnings, decided agility within the UK and other international countries was falling behind the standards they expected of agility events from the management to the regulations, and as a result, in 2023, Agility Nexus was formed.

Judging globally, Neil is driven to be the best judge he can be by always putting the competing dog’s needs first. His passion for “ethical agility” and being obsessed with the way dogs move drives him daily, even when jet-lagged!

Neil’s international judging career took off in 2018 and has allowed him to travel to 25 different countries, be a judge at the European Open in 2024, and given him the opportunity to see how events in different countries were run and managed. When he is not jet-setting around the world, he competes at home with his soul dog Hero and chills with his and his wife’s working sheepdog Teddy and her dog Saint.

“I think one of the biggest things I appreciate about Vetz Petz and Antinol is their openness and customer service. For someone like me who wants to work with integrity and likes to do the right thing, this was a really, really key part in the decision-making process for me, to feed my dogs something I truly believe in.”
