Favourite memory with your Canine Athlete My favourite memory so far is day one of the Worlds in 2024. It was mine and Freyja's first International race, and Freyja's first full canicross season. The course was one of a kind; straight up a mountain (100m elevation gain in 1km), single track for a bit, then down MTB berms into a very steep descent, and up the mountain again to finish. My plan was to give Freyja a positive first International experience and try for a top 30 finish... well, Freyja gave me the run of a lifetime and we came 5th on day one, and first GB! Freyja felt like she was flying the whole way round and it was just the most incredible feeling. She looked so happy in all our race photos too.

About Us

Hi! I'm Jen, a GBR canicross athlete with my Pointer, Freyja. My partner Adam and I have 6 dogs between us; Freyja (Pointer), Arlo (GSP), Skye (Labrador), Betsy (Yorkie x Dachshund), Chip (Yorkie) and Apollo (Scandinavian Hound).

They're an amazing pack and they take us on some fantastic adventures.

Alongside canicross, our dogs bikejor, walk, swim, paddleboard, do scentwork, hoopers, mantrailing and obedience.

Betsy regularly wins our local league hoopers competitions and is super accurate at scentwork too.

Chip is a rescue and he is finding his feet in the short course canicross races, where he loves to take on the big dogs!

Freyja is also a qualified Visiting Therapy Dog and comes to work with me at school. This makes her pretty unique, as she switches between cuddling young people at school, to running sub 15min 5kms on the trails with me!

I love canicross because of the partnership it builds with your dog; there is no better feeling that flying around the trails with your best friend happily bounding along in front of you.

I love the challenge of training for different trails; sometimes its pure speed, sometimes it's about control, and sometimes its just staying upright! I love creating exercise and nutrition plans for the dogs and researching what's the absolute best for them, which is how I came across Antinol! I'm so excited to be an Antinol Athlete and I can't wait to see what this opportunity brings.
