Shelby Brereton grew up surrounded by animals both at the San Diego Zoo and those native to the beaches and mountains. In one of her first roles as a zookeeper, she was lucky enough to work with her favourite animal: the cheetah.
Her journey to become a Wild Animal Biologist led her to Hawaii and eventually the UK, in her quest for knowledge.
As a zookeeper, Shelby enjoys the adaptability required to work with animals and the challenges of creating new ways to enrich their lives. Now living in the UK, Shelby has adopted three cats (or have they adopted her?): Tamatoa, Kiana, and Peter.
